By now you’ve probably all heard about the flap where a Che Guevara flag was photographed at one of his Texas campaign offices. Yesterday Obama made an official response to the issue.
Amazing! Isn’t this the man about whom Chris Matthews said he got a “Chill run up my leg” because his speeches were so motivating and moving? “Inappropriate.” “Wasn’t mine”….that is the best, most verbose, most loquacious response he could come up with? I didn’t know that Obama’s campaign had been impacted by the writers strike.
I wonder if Obama would have been as nonchalant had a swastika or a confederate flag been hung in the office? I’ll bet he would have managed a slightly longer string of words in that case!
Far-left symbolism, such as that evident in the display of Che Guevara propaganda, seems to be important to the Barack Obama campaign. Four months ago, I pointed out another example of it in a post, Photo on Obama Web Site Raises Questions. In that post, I questioned the subliminal message the liberal Democrat hoped to convey by posting on his campaign website a photo of Obama sitting in front of a framed photo of Muhammad Ali standing over a knocked-down opponent in a boxing ring. Oh, the symbolism!
Bob, you’re right. If you have no substance, you need to use pictures. In fact, it seems to me that this is similar in the book publishing business i.e. fewer words, more pictures. Do you think there is any correlation between Barack’s policy positions and children’s books?

…or maybe a noose?
