The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that a self-identified Obama campaign worker delievered food and bottled water to poll workers at Hampton School and presumably other North Side polling locations this afternoon. The individual, who left without identifying himself, at first said the bounty at Hampton School was for the poll workers, then said it was for voters waiting in line. While the law is apparently silent on delivery of food to poll workers (at least according to the Milwaukee Election Commission), it expressly prohibits the giving of “anything of value” to a voter to influence that voter’s choices.

Problem in Wauwatosa
I somehow missed this one earlier, but the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that between 20 and 50 voters in Wauwatosa’s District 22 received ballots for District 24. Susan Van Hoven, the deputy city clerk, says that the votes for the races common to both districts will be transfered to new ballots by poll workers and then recorded. There are two issues here:
– The two Districts are in different Assembly districts, with a contested race between incumbent Leah Vukmir and challenger Dave Hucke in District 22. The “solution” offered by Wauwatosa will disenfranchise those voters in that race. That is unacceptable, especially since a shift of, depending on the caucusing whims of freshly-“independent” Jeff Wood, two or three seats will change the balance of power in the Assembly.
– Mark Belling pointed out, even as I type, that Wauwatosa’s city clerk, Carla Ledesma, altered official election records to remove evidence of double voting by state Senator Jim Sullivan. I do not trust Wauwatosa’s election officials to correctly remark the ballots for the races that are common to the two districts.

Running down a pair of early instances
Item #1 – WISN-AM reported Obama flyers present at a polling place at W. Villard and N. 68th St. Since I did not hear the report first-hand, I believe it is the Byron Kilbourn School at 5354 N. 68th St, which is the voting location for the 22nd ward of the 2nd aldermanic district. It is illegal to have any electioneering materials within 100 feet of a polling place in Wisconsin.
Item #2 – WTMJ-AM reported police are involved in a challenge of votes at a remote absentee ballot counting location in the 4200 block of N. Holton St.

And the field has been prepared for fraud in Milwaukee
John Fund reports that the head of the Milwaukee Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit has been told to send any investigators to the polls today, and that his unit will be disbanded. The unit’s crimes? Issuing a 67-page report that illustrated systemic vote fraud in Milwaukee in 2004, suggesting that same-day registration be eliminated and photo ID be required of voters, and uncovering evidence that the same will be going on this time, including GOTV groups having out-of-state workers register to vote in Wisconsin, a college dorm with 60 people who are not students, and at least 7 (probable-)illegal absentee ballots.
Un-fragging-believable. Actually, it’s all-too-believable because while city government is supposedly non-partisan, it is dominated by Democrats.
Revisions/extensions (11:09 am 11/4/2008) – Charlie Sykes interviewed Milwaukee Police Chief Ed Flynn, who categorically denied the main parts of the report from Fund. While the Special Investigations Unit will not be assigned to the polls directly, they, as well as a 50-officer response squad, are on standby. I’ll leave it to you to decide what’s what.

Sarah Palin exonerated by the Alaskan State Personnel Board
(H/T – Hot Air)
Fox News (among others) report that the non-partisan Alaskan State Personnel Board has found no violation of Alaskan ethics law by anybody in the Troopergate episode. Quoting from the report – “There is no probable cause to believe that the governor, or any other state official, violated the Alaska Executive Ethics Act in connection with these matters.”
I’m surprised that this news didn’t keep until Wednesday.

The not-so-awaited Egg endorsements
I’ll start down the ticket because I can with a quick revision/extension at 9:55 pm 11/3/2008 to add most no-challenger races –
Various advisory referenda in Wisconsin asking for government-provided health care, including Oak Creek – No. This is a back-door attempt to try to bully the Legislature into adopting universal health care in Wisconsin. The one plan that meets the suggestion of the standard referendum, Healthy (and Depopulated) Wisconsin, comes with a price tag that would double the tax burden in Wisconsin.
The Milwaukee County sales tax advisory referendum asking for a tripling of the county sales tax to 1.5% – No. Even the supporters admit that this is a $65 million-$80 million tax increase. That is assuming that, if that tripling is authorized by the state, half of the receipts would go to property tax “relief”. If not, and all indications including historical are that it won’t, it’s a $130 million-$160 million tax increase in a county where a $200 item would become cheaper to purchase outside the county.
The city of Milwaukee direct legislation asking for paid sick leave to be imposed on all businesses in the city – No. Another 9 days of vacation will drive what’s left of business out of Milwaukee. How bad is it? Even the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel came out against it.
Various school building and tax-increase referenda – No. At the risk of being called Dr. No, a time when the economy is at best tightening is not the time to be building new Taj Mahals for the teachers and administrators. Kids won’t know the difference between a 40-year-old building and a shiny new one, at least if the school districts wanted to do maintenance instead of create a “crisis”.
21st Assembly District – Mark Honadel The math is simple; Honadel wants a stable-to-lower tax burden. Brower wants an ever-higher tax and regulatory burden.
14th Assembly District – Leah Vukmir
57th Assembly District – Jo Egelhoff
97th Assembly District – Bill Kramer
Any other Assembly or state Senate race I missed – The Republican Folks, I’ll put this in simple terms. The Democrats, should they gain complete control of state government, will make this a regulatory and tax hell. From Healthy (and Depopulated) Wisconsin to Gorebal “Warming” to a complete lifting of whatever property tax limits are in place, they promise more-expensive government.
Any other race where only one party or the other is represented except the 5th Congressional (specifically the Waukesha County District Attorney race) – Dave Casper (write-in) Asian Badger pointed out in the comments I missed the idiot DA in Waukesha County. That’s probably because I don’t live there, but I’ll correct that oversight and give Dave a second chance for a victory party.
1st Congressional District – Paul Ryan Yes, Ryan is my Congressman. He is also a visionary who isn’t afraid to touch the third rail of entitlements.
8th Congressional District – John Gard Gard frankly got screwed two years ago. Those of you in northeast Wisconsin have seen subpar representation out of Kagen, and this is your best and probably last chance to oust him.
Any other Congressional race out there – The Republican (with the exceptions of Don Young and Ted Stevens, where I recommend a write-in) This will be much like my state Legislature endorsement. The current crop of Democrats are chomping at the bit to turn us into Cuba; don’t reward the leaders of the worst Congress ever with more seats.
President/Vice President – John McCain/Sarah Palin I know I’ll probably be fighting a McCain administration more than I’ll support it. The alternative, a socialization of this country, is too frightening.
RIP, Madelyn Dunham
AFP reports that Barack Obama’s grandmother has died of cancer at the age of 86. Today, my prayers go out to the family. Tomorrow, my vote goes to John McCain.

- Before I get to the meat of the weekend, I have to note something that I really need to add my way-outside-the-power $0.02 cents to, specifically the latest part of the ongoing discussion on where the right end of the online presence goes from here. - Stix1972 lists the three head games the press organs for the Obama/Biden campaign will be playing. Again, I stress, at least if you’re going to vote for the McCain/Palin ticket, to not believe the hype.
- Tom McMahon encapsulates what to expect after Tuesday in an instant-classic 4-Block. I do have to disagree with the lower-right; in that case, Mitt Romney is the next in line.
- E.M. Zanotti has yet another reason to vote for the McCain/Palin ticket; a win will send the entire celebrity universe into debilitating depression.
- Jim Geraghty has a reason to thank Wile E. Thompson (suuuuper genius and Packers GM) for forcing Brett Favre to the New York Jets – their pre-election record is a very good predictor of results, missing only once. Every time the Jets have had at least 5 wins before Election Day, the Republican candidate for President has won, while the Democratic one has won 5 of 6 times the Jets didn’t have at least 5 wins. By the way, the Jets have 5 wins.
- Michelle Malkin found an instance where the ‘Rats want investigations into whistle-blowers; John Conyers has called for an investigation into how Barack Obama’s aunt’s illegal alien status became news. There’s still no word from the ‘Rats on the abuses of power done to try to break Joe the Plumber (which has backfired spectacularily; he has endorsed the McCain/Palin ticket on today’s Fox and Friends).
- Jay found said aunt under the Obamination Express. Who knew that bus had room for one more family member </sarcasm>.

- Jay Nordlinger busts the myth that the Republican Party is the Party of the Rich.
- Sister Toldjah found two new media studies that prove that presstitute coverage has been overwhelmingly favorable to Obama. As James Taranto would say if he still did the Best of the Web, “What would we do without studies?”
- Jeni reports that Gannett is still in full slash-and-burn-jobs mode. LSM, RIP.
- Back to lawhawk – he relays a report that the raid in Syria targeting an Al Qaeda bigshot was done with the approval of the Syrian government.
- Conservative Belle found yet another “victim” of the economic downturn – Code Pink. In this case, I’m celebrating.
- Huckleberry Dumbell has the sign of the times. While he put up the falling coyotes warning for Packer football, it’s equally-appropriate for the political sphere.
I’ll have my extended endorsements up in a while, but the very-short version – despite the likelyhood that the Republicans will continue the march toward Western Europe, they are infinitely preferable to the Rats’ and their march toward Eastern Europe circa 1985. Also, be Dr. No on the local tax-and-spend-and-tax-some-more referenda.

Obama supporters caught stealing McCain signs – Burlington, WI
The Racine County Republican Party passed along the following press release in the wake of the McCain-Palin Racine County co-chair and the Burlington Police Department catching a pair of Obama supporters stealing McCain signs:
Burlington, WI – On the evening of 1 November, McCain-Palin Racine County Co-Chairman Josh Kuehn spotted someone in his front yard. As he watched, the man grabbed a McCain-Palin yard sign from his front yard.
Kuehn then noted a vehicle moving slowly down his street with its lights out. He shouted for the man with the sign to stop, but he ran off, and the vehicle drove off at a high rate of speed. Kuehn quickly called police and took off after the thieves. He quickly spotted the vehicle a block away, picking up his dismounted accomplice. Kuehn followed the vehicle until police arrived and arrested the two perpetrators. The attached photographs document the arrest. Note; a pair of the photos appear below.
Additionally, the Racine County Republican Party would like assistance in solving the thefts of hundreds of yard signs in the Racine, Mt. Pleasant, and Caledonia areas. Multiple victims have provided a description of a white, late model, full size, short-bed pickup truck driving suspiciously in the area around the time of the thefts. The Racine County Republican Party is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the driver of this vehicle
The Racine County GOP encourages those who have been victimized by intolerant Obama supporters to pick up replacement signs at our Racine Victory Center, located at 6500 Washington Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, or our Burlington Victory Center, located at 248 North Pine Street in Burlington.
The Racine GOP has sought to take the high road in this election, and offered to issue a joint statement with the Racine Democratic Party, condemning yard sign theft and offering a joint reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone stealing or vandalizing any political signs this campaign season. The Racine Democratic Party has not responded to this offer.
How do we know the thieves were Obama supporters? Kuehn snapped a few photos of their arrest (note; I have redacted the first 3 characters of the license plate; the photo I received had the only last 3 characters redacted).
One parting thought; it is telling that the Racine Democratic Party has refused to condemn yard sign theft.

WCPO-TV in Cincinnati reports that ACORN canvasser Shari Bell was arrested for prostitution and drug paraphenalia possession Wednesday night. What is truly priceless is ACORN’s reaction to Bell’s unannounced absence from her ACORN job Wednesday (prior to her arrest) – they assumed she quit.
I almost turned this into an NRE poll, but discretion is the better part of valor cheap blogging.

In succession, we have gone from increased taxes for those making over $250K to give welfare to the bottom 95% to tax cuts for those making under $200K to tax cuts for those making under $150K (while the Adjusted Gross Income 95th-percentile was just over $153K in 2006) to tax cuts for those making under $120K. Again, going to the AGI, the 90th-percentile was $109K in 2006, and given increases in income, should be $120K in 2009. Guess it’s 10% that won’t be getting welfare from Obama should he win.
- Speaking of taxes, Bill Smith reports the Heritage Foundation has filed a request to TV stations to stop false ads from the Obama campaign that misquotes them.
- Michelle Malkin found the reporters of 3 papers where the editorial board dared to not endorse Obama thrown under the Obamination Express. For those that want to compare this to the McCain campaign’s tossing of Maureen Dowd and Joe Klein, McCain tossed individuals (specifically columnists) for those individual’s actions and continued to talk to the reporters from those individuals’ employers, while Obama can’t so much as abide possibly-friendly people whose only crime was to work with those that dared oppose him. Remember what I’ve said about 110% fealty and the Left.
- More from Soren Dayton – he found a link between Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner (D) and ACORN. Brunner refused to check the rolls in Ohio for fraudulent registrations, and ACORN has been flooding the rolls with (potentially-)fraudulent registrations.
- Speaking of fraud, Warner Todd Huston reports Obama supporters illegally offered candy and water to those waiting in line to vote in Butler County, Ohio.

touchedkilled Al Qaeda’s #4 in Pakistan. Care to say that Iraq is still a “distraction”, Obama? - Phil spotted October snow in London for the first time since 1922. While I don’t know whether Algore Goracle was in town, it did coincide with a House of Commons debate on Gorebal “Warming”. Timing is everything.

I’ll try to remember today is Open Thread Thursday and only give you a launching point to feed me with links (for a change). Even though I now have something north of 280 feeds in the Feed Reader of Bloat, I know I’m missing some good stuff out there on a daily basis.
- In keeping with the good news theme, RightwingSparkle reports that the PUMAs are not yet dead in Florida.
- Stephen Green wonders whether the hope in the McCain camp that the polls are hosed is misplaced. Do not, repeat, NOT miss Ed Driscoll’s Cheech & Chong response.
- Nick Schweitzer applies statistical analysis to the hosed polls.
- Laura reports that Texas is done being messed with by Mexico’s druglords.
- Soren Dayton runs the numbers on the jobs that will be lost in states that will be disproportionately affected by Barney Frank’s (Religion of) Peace Dividend. Why do I call it that? Simple; a 25% cut in defense spending in the middle of a war smells like a surrender in that war, and the opponents do call themselves the “Religion of Peace”.
- Those cuts mean we likely won’t see stories like this – Zip reports Marine snipers are so precise that even Islamists in Afghanistan using children as human shields while emplacing IEDs aren’t safe, but those children are.
- RFW has today’s history lesson – this is the 10-year anniversary of the signing of the Iraq Liberation Act. Hey moonbats; care to guess who was President when it became official US policy to remove Saddam Hussein from power?
- I was going to skip the Obamination Update entirely today because you’re probably tired after the Obamacommercial, but Mark Steyn dragged me back in. He reports that donations to the Obama campaign are now being cited by the city of Boston as evidence of US citizenship. Mark notes (sarcastically) that it should “(clear) up any question marks over those donations by ‘A Hitler’ and ‘S Hussein'”.
- Kevin Fischer lists the growing number of communities that do trick-or-treating right – on Halloween night. Notably, and regrettably, absent from the list are any communities in Milwaukee County, including Oak Creek.
- Moron Pundit has today’s PSA – if you get caught drunk driving, do not immediately go back to your house, grab your spare keys, and drive to the police station to complain.

ACORN, Obama campaign coordinated donor lists

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that Anita Moncrief, a former staffer for Project Vote, a sister organization of ACORN, testified in court that Project Vote received a “donor list” from the Obama campaign in late 2007 for fundraising efforts. Further, she claims to have a copy of a “development plan” that outlines how maxed-out Obama contributors would be targeted to give to Project Vote, and that she had taken a call from a campaign working asking whether it was the same organization that Obama had worked with in the 1990s.
Guess the acorns definitely don’t fall far from the tree.
Of course, this wouldn’t be complete without an ObamiNation In Your Face moment – Moncrief stated she received repeated warnings to “back off” from testifying in the hearing in a lawsuit brought by the Pennsylvania GOP against ACORN and the Secretary of the Commonwealth to make the voter registration process more transparent and less-prone to fraud.
GAP in the vote
Fausta reports that The Gap has been selling buttons that say “Vote Twice” as part of their Get Out The Vote campaign. No, it is not “cute”, or “innocent” to advocate vote fraud.
My standard is Every Legitimate Voter Has His Or Her Votes Counted Once And Only Once.

- James T. Harris observed the ObamiNation In Your Face tour invading a local restaurant so arrogantly they got booted.

- Darleen Click has the poster of the day – the Three Amigos of Nancy Pelosi, Obama and Harry Reid. That was in response to Pelosi saying that an increased ‘Rat majority would be “more bipartisan”.
- Bill Quick has the quote of the day in response to a call for more-effective government – “Hi, we’re the government, and we’re here to help you really good and hard” (emphasis in the original).
- GayPatriotWest found another casualty of the endless Presidential campaign – attention on the teen-approval-rating Congress. It still boggles me how the ‘Rats will extend their gains there after running the worst Congress ever.
- I know; this is already too long, but I can’t close without this one – Wyatt Earp found a study that says that farting is good for you. Now somebody get a match.
