Because Kevin at Lakeshore Laments is headed out to what hopefully will be greener pastures tomorrow, because it’s his and Fraley’s birthdays (give or take a couple days), and because Aaron and Kelly are likely going to officially join the ranks of parents this week, Sean and Casper are having a very special Drinking Right Jr tonight at 7 over at Papa’s Social Club.

Hey how did the HDTV card go? Did you get it? I’ve been thinking about this myself since I have a workstation capable of video editing for some time and had a capture card that burned out on me some time ago…..what did you settle on?
There was nothing in the Milwaukee area Monday, so I didn’t get anything yet. I do have my eye on the Hauppage WinTV-HVR 160 since it does have a dual tuner (1 ATSC/1 NTSC). The question is, does the soon-to-be-closed Brookfield CompUSA have it because they have it for $70 (it’s $100 at Circuit City).
The good news is that Fox does have the last couple of episodes of “24” on a MySpace site in “near”-HD (more like 480p widescreen).
Whoa! I live right near that CompUSA and I missed that! They are CLOSING? What are they just moving are actually closing?!…..Don’t understand that one…..
They’re closing that one, as well as 125 others, by the end of May according to the Journtinel (2nd item in the digest posted 2/28 and in the paper 3/1). I missed it originally too, but figured it out after CompUSA.com dropped the Brookfield store from its lits of stores.
The closest stores that will be left are in Rockford and Madison, and nothing else until either Indy or Lansing, Michigan.
I’ll save you the trip…they don’t have the model you’re looking for anymore….just a few USB models left….nothing I’d buy….place was pretty busy…they’ve now got guys out on the street with 30% off signs….
