I’m about 2 weeks late to this, but it’s a big update:

Now you guys and gals have even more good reading material, especially when I’ve got nothing and I forgot to tell the guest bloggers.

It may be called Suitably Flip, but it’s anything but flippant. The proprietor, Flip, has been tracking the Hsu money like a hound dog, and Tom Vilsack was one of those. He’s also anticipating finding $850,000 or so in Hsu refunds from the Hiliary campaign (which reminds me; time to check again; it’s 10:47 pm on the East Coast).

It’s actually a double-dose of additions, as both Stop the ACLU and that blog’s and JammieWearingFool contributor Weasel Zippers get crammed onto the roll. I should’ve done that long before now.

Billiam’s giving up the Cheap Seats view. Hopefully he’ll reconsider, but he’s pretty burnt out by the state of politics.

How I forgot to add Modern Commentaries before now I’ll never know. That oversight is now corrected. Hopefully, you didn’t forget to add Amy and Dave to your blogrolls and feed readers like I did.

Once again, I’m only dipping a bit south of the Root River, and Stu doesn’t post much, but when he does, Ravings From A Right Wing Wacko is one hellova read.

With Bad Behavior behaving badly, I disabled it. Unfortunately, it also invited in some spammy comments, and my suite of anti-spam software does not fully-work with the default link structure. I’ve now adopted a “pretty permalink” structure.

Don’t worry; you do not have to go back through your archives to fix links to old posts. WordPress is still smart enough to recognize the /?p=x links and get them to the right page.

Fred, Mark Block, Leslie Graves, about 1,600 of my new closest friends, and I will be in DC tomorrow and Friday for Americans For Prosperity’s Defending the American Dream summit. Many of the Republican candidates for President will be there, including Sam Brownback, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson. No Runny Eggs will be bringing you double-barrel coverage, with Leslie joining me from Bloggers’ Row.

I’ve got my shiny almost-new camera (freshly loaded with a 2 GB memory card and a second in reserve), a digital voice recorder with USB transfer cable; all I need to do is pick up a spare battery for the laptop.

Guess it’s now my quest to link to every conservative Madison blogger. Madison Conservative, who runs Conservativism from the Progressive birthplace, gets on for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that he hates Jim “Craps” Doyle (WEAC/Potawatomi-For Sale) as much as I do.

I’ve been meaning to do this for quite a while, but I just kept on putting it off. The Tygrrrrr Express should join the list of blogs you grab the feed for.

The Latest & Greatest™ version of WordPress is out there and now on here. Its neatest little trick is automatically checking for updates of both the core and (most) of the plugins. I don’t get into tags, so I won’t be using them.

Among those updated plugins is Peter’s Custom Anti-Spam. The big thing there is the ability to generate an audio file for those that can’t see the anti-spam word, though it chokes on special characters. Also, f you do get it wrong, you can now copy your comment before hitting the “back” button to try again.

I’m moving today, and since the cable/internet connection isn’t going until Tuesday (being shut off at the old place Monday), I’ll be on the laptop until then. The guest-blogging sign is lit.

Please welcome Leslie Graves, from State Sunshine and Open Records. She’ll be on Bloggers’ Row at Defending the American Dream, and since her home blog is “narrowly” focused on spreading the light of day on government, she asked to guest-blog here.

The service had a bit of a hiccup. I had one of BlueHost’s optimizations active, and that choked up the entire site. BlueHost’s customer service got me up quick once I got to them (waited an hour while I cut the grass, so that delay was my fault).

Well, not that far south of the border; just on the other side of the Root River. Caledonia Unplugged focuses on what used to be Wisconsin’s largest town.

BlogNetNews Wisconsin, a decent aggregator of the Cheddarsphere, just started an influence index. Inexplicably, I’m #4. Must be that Jack Bauer’s working for them in Season 7 because there’s no way I’m nearly that influential.

They’re not a blog, so I can’t throw them in the roll. If I had room for a 4th column, I’d run their aggregator, but I’ve got too much crap the way it is :-)

While I disagree with Stan’s thoughts on the Pask case, I don’t quite hold that against him. Free Constitution is a good read and worthy addition to the roll.
