Revisions/extensions (7:45 am 11/16/2006) – The Conservative Cat has taken down his carnival submission page.
The Carnival of the Badger (CoB) was started up by Nick of The World According to Nick back on August 11, 2005, with the first post on August 17. I’ll let his words from the informational post do the explaining:
The Carnival of the Badger is a weekly blog carnival featuring bloggers from all around Wisconsin. It is a non-partisan blog, and is open to anyone from Wisconsin, or with posts about Wisconsin. You are welcome to submit posts on any topic, from politics, to sports, to current events, or anything else. However, the more regional topics are better for this carnival, as we’re trying to keep it about Wisconsin….
The Carnival will be posted at the host site every Thursday (note; some hosts get the Carnival up Wednesday), and submissions are due Wednesday, preferably before 7 PM Central Time (note; this has been changed to 8 pm Central Time). This is to allow the host to have plenty of time to put everything together, as it is a lot of work. If you’re late submitting, its purely at the discretion of the host whether to include you or not.
If you’d like to submit a post from the past week (or further back if its still relevant), there are a couple ways you can do it:
- Send an email directly to badgercarnival – at – gmail – dot -com (you should know what to do with the anti-spam effort). Please be sure to include the direct link to your post, as well as the name of your blog, and a short summary of your post to help the carnival host.
- Use the Blog Carnival Submission Form. You can also view a list of all previous editions of the Carnival of the Badger at the Blog Carnival Archive Page.
Use the Carnival Submit Form from Conservative Cat(as noted above, he’s taken down the carnival submission form).…If you’d like to host a future edition of the Carnival of the Badger, then you can either leave a comment on the linked post or via the e-mail link that Nick provides on his site. Please be sure to include the following information:
- Your name
- Your blog url
- An email address where Nick can contact you. A lot of people forget to include this, and its often not posted on your blogs. He has to have an email so he knows where to forward submissions, and so he can arrange the dates, etc.
Once again, the Blog Carnival keeps the archives of the CoB.
