Here’s an act that goes against the grain:
Northwestern rescinds honorary degree offer to Rev. Wright
It’s not often that you see one of the country’s institutes of higher learning turning their back on a CAH (Certified American Hater). Usually they reward them.
On a related note, I hear that the University of Colorado has indicated a desire to hire Jeremiah Wright as they are still one CAH short of a cabal since they terminated Ward Churchill.
I could’ve swore UW-Madison was in the running for Wright’s services. Say, you think any of the other members of the Big Ten would have done what Northwestern did?
I’m guessing it will be a hard fought battle between UW-M and UC. I’m guessing UC wins because at UW-M, Wright won’t stand out!
Another Big 10 school??? I’m shocked NW took it back. I was serious saying that his kind of “truth tellin” usually gets awards from those institutions not disinvites!
Northwestern is a private institution. Of course, that (and the fact that it’s nominally a Catholic school) doesn’t stop Marquette from its idiocies.
