Sean Hackbarth has switched The American Mind from Movable Type to WordPress. While the URL to the main page is the same, the feed URL is different. For some reason, at this moment, simply typing TAM’s main address into your favorite feed reader doesn’t work, so either mash the feed read on his page or stuff this address – http://www.theamericanmind.com/feed/ into your feed reader.
Thanks for the mention. I still have no answer about why my feed doesn’t come up just from typing my URL.
I wonder if my feed is being dynamically created. I can’t find a particular URL for the feed itself. If so it sounds like a waste of system resources.
Couldn’t answer how WP creates a feed or sets the URL. The link above (which gives the RSS 2.0 feed) came off the bottom of the template.
Now, typing TAM’s address into SharpReader (which is my feed reader) gives the Atom feed. Typing it into either Mozilla (1.5.0.7) or IE 7 will give the full list of feeds from your site (starting with the Atom feed, and going through both the posts and comments in RSS 2.0).
If you’re curious, the XML code should be in the header of your template (Presentation/Theme Editor tab from the wp-admin page).
