I don’t know about you, but I definitely need a few drinks. Fortunately, this happens to be the second Tuesday of the month, so it’s time for another round of Drinking Right. As always, we’re at Papa’s Social Club (7718 W Burleigh in Milwaukee), and as always, the fun starts about 7 pm. Dickie brings over a few pizzas and garlic bread from Mama’s next door, so you can also have some food with your favorite beverage.

Revisions/extensions (11:02 am 12/27/2010) – The NFL decided that, since the Packers-Bears game has playoff consequences, that they would move it to 3:15 pm. Accordingly, the start time has been moved to 2:30 pm, and this post has been bumped to the top to reflect this.

Fred has all the details on the Drinking Right Christmas Party, scheduled for Bust the Bears Sunday, January 2, 2011.

Our Cheddarsphere Christmas party this year will be on Sunday, January the 2nd, from ~~noon~~ 2:30 pm until whenever at Papa’s Social Club, 7718 W. Burleigh Milwaukee .

Just like last year we’ll be collecting predictions from the attendees for the coming year. (I’ll be reposting last years predictions soon so we can see how we did.)

The Packers will be facing the Bears on the big screens. This game could very easily determine the NFC North Division Champion, come and watch it with friends!

Our White Elephant half-time gift exchange will also be revised for a third straight year, just bring a gift to participate.

Of course, we might not be watching the game at noon if it has NFC North championship (or other playoff) implications – NBC will be guaranteed a game with playoff implications, and even if NBC doesn’t take the game, Fox may well make it the 3:15 game. Well, Fox has made it the 3:15 game, so we’re starting a bit later.

Eggs on the road – Tax Week

Besides being Tax season (and indeed, partly because of it), it’s road-trip season. My trips for the week:

– This one isn’t actually a trip, but I’ll be running the weekly “24” liveblog over at Blogs.4Bauer tonight. The fun will start a bit before 8.

– If it’s the second Tuesday of the month, it’s time for Drinking Right. I need to drink heavily after last week’s disaster, and Dickie over at Papa’s Social Club (7718 W. Burleigh in Milwaukee) is kind enough to serve us starting at 7 pm. He even throws in pizza from Mama’s next door.

– Wednesday is the Tax Day Tea Party. Blogging will likely be non-existant that day because I will be on the road all day: Madison at the Capitol (King Street entrance) at 11, Appleton at Fox Banquets (111 E. Kimball) at 5:30, and possibly a quick stop in Fort Atkinson (Municipal Building on Main) at 4.

– Saturday is potentially another full day. The only thing confirmed is a Tea’d Off party at Racine City Hall (where 6th, 7th, and Washington meet) at noon, though it is likely I’ll add the Sammies down in Chicago to the list.

Since it’s December, we of the Cheddarsphere have not one, but two outings scheduled for Papa’s Social Club, 7718 W Burleigh in Milwaukee.

Dose #1 – Drinking Right, 12/8/2008 at 7 pm. As Nick said, “Don’t give into the hype! Go out when it’s snowing!” Besides, the snow (it will be all snow well before then, with the freezing rain coming overnight tonight) will be tapering off.

Dose #2 – Cheddarsphere Christmas party, 12/28/2008 at noon. This one is strictly non-partisan, and there will be a gift exchange during the halftime of the Packers/Lions game.
