The ramblings within may or may not offend, shock and awe you, but they are what I (or my guest-bloggers) think. There are still many blogs that are independent and very good. But the consolidation of bloggers is also good. There is only a certain amount of time to read and go thru a bunch of blogs. If you have many boggers on one blog, it makes it easier.

Take the Minority Report http://theminorityreportblog.com . There are many bloggers on there, but most still have their home blogs. My Stix BLog http://stixblog.com is part of the network of blogs on The Minority Report Netwotk http://theminorityreport.co but it is still my blog.

And with twitter, facebook and not G+ people do not comment as much on blogs, they comment by using tiwtter, FB and G+. And get a bigger conversation going than just commenting on a single blog.

Blogging is not going anywhere, it may be going thru some growing pains, but it is not going away.

A consolidation of talent. I hope they get compensated, especially if they get HuffPo’ed (and sold to a large company). So you have some good commentary at Minyanville or RealMoney, even Marketwatch.

I miss the casual, easy-going, blogs. But aggregation has its advantages, too. There is always fresh content due to the large number of bloggers. An individual blogger gets busy with work, increased trading, or a new puppy, and then the blogging slows down. (Talking my own book, here… lol).

I’ve also pared down the list of conservative blogs I follow. I think there’s a burnout factor right now. I think it will pick up in the next election year. It’s important that it does…
