The ramblings within may or may not offend, shock and awe you, but they are what I (or my guest-bloggers) think. The only “nuclear” reference in the Senate version (which just passed) is a single $1 billion item for “weapons activities”. There is no reference in the version that passed the House.

No, I dont’ think we do. The anti-nuclear sentiment in America has its roots in the “don’t litter” environmental roots of the 1960s and 70s. I don’t recall that global warming and greenhouse gas emissions were making news headlines then. I for one am very glad to see the resurgence of nuclear power return to the forefront of discussion. I would very much like to see us invest money in the construction of new plants immediately.

Also –really? No mention of nuclear in the stimulus bill? I haven’t even attempted to read the bills that have passed the house and senate, but I have seen/heard a few news references to funding nuclear power in the stimulus bill. Did everything get removed?

FAR more important than “prices” is SUPPLY. Russia has already cut off the gas once, and could do it again.

So could a few well-informed terrorists.
