You hit my point, there has been no effective messaging from the McCain camp. The reason is that they’ve been trying to be fish and fowl, not pissing off either the conservatives or the moderates. That doesn’t work, never has. Conservative principles are not always intuitive, especially for a society that has a short attention span and focused on “me.” Like Reagan did, conservative principles need to be explained and taught. Few politicians will take the time to do that teaching. Mostly because they think they’re so damn smart we should just “trust them!” It’s hard to trust someone who appears to stand for just about anything.
]]>WHAT “messaging”?
McPain and Obamamamama share one thing: Hide The Candidate’s Actual Views on Almost Everything.
McCain’s campaign has been virtually content-free–exactly like Obama’s. It’s been a contest of personalities, rather than of substance–except that “substance” which applies to ‘who gets what.’
Palin is the only real person of the whole bunch.
