I’d like to think that those of us n Evansville have developed some kind of a hyperlocal blognet. There are 6 of us in a community of 5000 with a commenting base of several score. It’s clear that some of the local government reads them regularly and comments and many of us have found our way into local influence so that the conversation is two-ways.

I also see in Evansville a mingling of the ideologies that I don’t see in the Waukesha or Milwaukee blogospheres although Jay tends to carry on a mixed conversation.

Thanks again for the report and for a little something upon which to chew.

I could’ve got it wrong too. As I said, trying to liveblog with the laptop isn’t as easy as doing it with the home machine and its oh-so-comfortable keyboard.

The podcast should be up Monday, so we’ll see what I missed.

Thanks for the synopsis. If I said my reading across ideologies makes me an exception, I apologize. I should have said that I don’t know if that makes me an exception. I do think everyone tends to read their own “side” as a affirmation of their own beliefs. That can be negative, but not always.

My point wasn't simply that they can mix, but that I can add interest by linking to items of interest in other spheres. If I'm only reading the same sites my audience reads, I would have less to offer them.
