The repository of one hard-boiled egg from the south suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (and the occassional guest-blogger). The ramblings within may or may not offend, shock and awe you, but they are what I (or my guest-bloggers) think.Sat, 10 Feb 2007 00:15:49 +0000

Let’s make things clear. She would not need to stop and refuel with either the C-20 or C-37 (check the range map on Gulfstream’s G350 page; only Hawaii and the far western Aleutians are out of range for the shortest-ranged Gulfstream). She could not, however, take the grandkids and all her husband’s lobbyists, and well as the rest of the Dem delegation from California, home with her on the Gulfstreams. She’s demanded that.

She only said that she wanted to fly non-stop, and that she would to prefer to fly commercial, but if WH insists on flying her on a military plane, she wouldn’t want to stop to refill (or this was sergeant-at-arms recommendation). She simply queried if it was possible. Obviously, C-37 would be OK.
NB: Murtha didn’t clash with DoD over plane, he clashed over those shameless misleading leaks.

Fri, 09 Feb 2007 21:25:47 +0000https://norunnyeggs.com/?p=812#comment-32434Lie, you say? Then why didn’t she instruct Murtha and the House Sergeant-at-Arms to accept the C-20/37 for her?
Hell, since she “wants” to fly commercial, why didn’t she instruct those two to accept that? Oops, there is exactly one airline that flies non-stop between the DC airports (specifically, Dulles) and San Francisco (United, which code-shares those flights with US Airways).

Nothing. Nothing is driving her to demand the C-32. It’s simply not happening. It’s a lie. Don’t you still get it? IT’S A LIE! She NEVER said she wanted C-32. She EXPLICITLY said she doesn’t care about the size. She EXPLICITLY said that she would gladly like to fly commercial.
