When one looks at the earnings of entry level teachers the hourly salary of apx. $15 is not bad. However, the problem I have is understanding the significant pay increase one receives upon earning their master&#039;s degree, $32. per hour. WHY?  Job responsibilities do not increase. Competency surely does not increase. Just thier pay scale and benefits. This is an area parents/voters need to scream objections to. This is where your tax dollars are going. Money unwisly spent and consumed. Yes, teachers are trusted with the responsibility of teaching our children but they are not accountable for all the failures and need to be. Their argument that their pay scale is much lower than other fields is valid in part. Why are we paying the Chanchelors and university professors so much more?  We shouldn&#039;t be is my answer. We could fill those positions with as qualified persons and I&#039;m not sure university of wisconsin professors at the extensions are competent, at much lower salaries. But then why are we paying other tax paid employees so much such as Judges?  I don&#039;t think circuit court judges are worth 104,000 dollars per year plus benefits and fringe and likewise think those positions could be filed with competent persons at much lower salaries. NO STATE EMPLOYEE SHOULD EARN MORE THAN THE MEAN TAX PAYER SALARY. STOP THE WHITE COLLAR WELFARE THIEFS FROM ROBBING THE GENERAL PUBLIC.]]></description>
