http://doubleplusundead.mee.nu/we_dont_need_no_stinking_death_panels

I'm kinda wordy, but that's about a story from around 10 years ago where they were first caught starving dementia patients to death.
At first, nobody would investigate.
Finally, they had an "inquest" where the judge said
If it should transpire that food and fluids were withdrawn in good faith and in the not unreasonable belief that it was in their best interests as the lesser of two evils
Starving them to death was in "good faith" and in their "best interests" and the "lesser of two evils", the greater evil of course, being to leave them alive.

The inquest found that starving them to death was found to be "natural causes" and the families were told they were lucky or something.

So in the NHS, it's "natural causes" when you starve someone to death.
