I was reading that over the weekend and laughing. Technically, the possibility that a black hole will spontaneously generate is nearly non-existant, but the idea that one can form from the supercollider is laughable. There may be a 30,000 times greater chance of forming a black hole from the supercollider than just random generation, but 10,000 times 1 x 10^-120 is still 1 x 10^-116, a chance that so infinitesimally small there's no real difference in numbers there. But hey, once you get into the courts, the odds of logic being applied drop significantly, so we'll see if they make any headway. And the US entering a depression? I'm already there.
