The repository of one hard-boiled egg from the south suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (and the occassional guest-blogger). The ramblings within may or may not offend, shock and awe you, but they are what I (or my guest-bloggers) think.

It shows how thin the GOP bench is if some are reaching for Jindal. At least speculation about him got people to stop hoping for Fred Thompson on the ticket.

I can't see Jindal getting the slot this go around. While I like his politics far more, it's hard to argue that it is any deeper than what Obama's is....and we know where that has gotten us. I think Jindal has a very important role in fixing LA. If he is able to be successful he not only gets great Rep cred but he also would be the only guy running from either party that would have solved a horribly messed up situation. Think of how he would poll in places like Michigan or Ohio or even IL when people see the turn around he had constructed. Give him a term, maybe two as Gov and if successful, he will be unstoppable as a Pres. candidate.

I completely agree... for one thing, if he ends up being on the ticket in 2008, it looks like Jindal ran for governor simply as a stepping stone to larger office.

Also, right now he has a chance to end the culture of corruption in Louisiana once and for all. That's hardly the time to ditch them to be VP.
