A German study found that xanthohumol, found in hops and a key ingredient in proper beers, inhibits a family of enzymes that can trigger the cancer process, as well as help the body detoxify carcinogens. Not to be outdone, researchers at Oregon State found xanthohumol can kill breast, colon, ovarian and prostate cancer.
