No Runny Eggs

The repository of one hard-boiled egg from the south suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (and the occassional guest-blogger). The ramblings within may or may not offend, shock and awe you, but they are what I (or my guest-bloggers) think.

Slight change in the Operation Exploitation lineup

by @ 13:46. Filed under Miscellaneous.

Blackfive reports that it seems that the oh-so-tolerant lieberals are going to try to do to the Best Military Blog category what they’re successfully done so far to the Funniest Blog, Best Blog and Best Comic Strip categories. Therefore, he’s recommending that, instead of making Blackfive a 3-time winner, that Michael Yon win this year’s award.

The good news is Mike still has a healthy lead. The bad is the script monkeys of the left are unusually-effective at wiping out healthy leads. Therefore, my last 4 votes will be going to Mike, and yours should be too. Don’t let the lieberal script monkeys win.

While I’m at it, I need to correct a major oversight in the roll.

Project Valour-IT update: Match time starting to become successful

by @ 12:00. Filed under Miscellaneous.

Time to follow up on Michelle Malkin’s and her readers’ challenge to the left-of-center half of the blogosphere (including me) Well, I guess upping the ante to $500 $550 $750 $800 $1,050 $1,550 is finally starting to pay off.

Thank you, Insanity (Team Army), Greg from the Left (adding the widget for Team Air Force would be appreciated), The Online Lunchpail (Team Navy/USCG), and Springbored’s Springboard (Team Navy/USCG), for stepping up to the plate.

There’s still $30 from my pocket and a heap from others’ pockets to be donated in the name of 6 more left-of-center blogs.

As a reminder, you don’t have to be left-of-center to start or continue helping Project Valour-IT. To join a team, head here to get started. To just donate, mash one of the team’s widgets over to your left. You can also go into the Project Valour-IT auctions and start bidding on items the teams have put up. The money goes to the team the person who donated the item designated.

Revisions/extensions (1:20 pm 11/5/2007) – Make that $25 left in my pool; Lawyers, Guns and Money stepped up for Team Navy/USCG. As a housekeeping item, I will finish settling up either on the morning of the 11th or when we get 5 more left-of-center blogs to answer the bell (part of that depends on where I am when they answer; I might be in a location where I do not trust security).

Revisions/extensions part 2 (3:27 pm 11/5/2007) – The latest info direct from FbL, head fundraiser, is over here.

Revisions/extensions part 3 (9:41 pm 11/6/2007) – Make that $20. F15mech reports below Balloon Juice hopped on board Team Army.
