We just had a luncheon, featuring Grover Norquist, after which this upcoming summit was discussed. A scholarship has been made available, for one member of my College Republicans organization, to attend this great event. It’s quite a coincidence that I just found this weblog, right after we were discussing this big event, at another big event, right here in the [state] capital city. When I came over here, and saw the Americans for Prosperity summit mentioned, I thought that you may have been at today’s luncheon here in Springfield, and were blogging about it… I think that the hit referral must have been from one of those blogrolls, after all. But thank you for spotlighting the “Defending the American Dream” summit… I don’t know that I will be the UIS CR who attends, but whoever does, I hope that he/she, you, and everyone else there has a great time… From the way an AFP member was describing it to us today, it looks like its going to be a HUGE event, featuring most of the major Republican presidential candidates, and other big-name conservatives and libertarians.
