They mistakenly announced it as a Hellcat. TAB and I were going “Bah, Bah, Bah!” when we saw it.

That was an F-4U, the F-6F has straight wings and a more barrel shaped fuselage.

I echo it was a great show…too bad we couldn’t all meet up. Mr. Egg and I were right at show center on the lakefront. The stealth pass felt like the guy was about two feet above us.

Too bad the rest of us couldn’t meet up.

Until I found the Asian One, I was pretty much between the northern and eastern beer tents (and I was a bit north of you when the Golden Knights were parachuting in). Blame the crowd :-)

I Love air shows too… Unfortunately I don’t get to go to any all that often. However, I found a video that is pretty cool and the pilot survived the crash with only minor injuries… It’s pretty amazing…
