No Runny Eggs

The repository of one hard-boiled egg from the south suburbs of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (and the occassional guest-blogger). The ramblings within may or may not offend, shock and awe you, but they are what I (or my guest-bloggers) think.

Project 21 denounces the asterisk editorial

Go, read. Proof that Gregory Stanford* is wrong.

* I suppose he doesn’t think that the various members of Project 21 are “real blacks”.

pEU pretty much bans “Christ”, but “christ” is okay

canadafreepress.com reports that by pEU diktat, Christ and Judiasm lose their capitalization in the Dutch language as of August 2006. WorldNetDaily has an expansion on the story, saying that the proper name of Jesus Christ – “Jezus Christus” in Dutch – will still be capitalized, with all other references stripped of capitalization. Also, the Dutch word for Jews – “Juden” – will only be capitalized when it refers to the nationality and specifically not capitalized when refering to the religion.

No word on whether the Dutch words for Islam and Muslim – “Islam” and “Moslim” respectively – will suffer the same fate. My guess is not.

Craps continues to act like a mob boss

For those of you who don’t get the “Journal lite” suburban Milwaukee CNI newspapers (or happen to get it on a week where the edits decide not to carry any editorial commentary because they can’t find the less-than-handful of liberal readers to write in), Charlie Sykes does reprint his column weekly over at Sykes Writes. His latest outlines how, even as the governor is under a joint state/federal (by the stronger of the two US attorneys) into Wisconsin’s own Travelgate, and even as Chuck Chvala was cutting a deal on his corruption charges, he continued to shake down the equal-briber roadbuilders and the unique-to-Craps Indian gaming interests.

And Wisconsin USED to be known for its squeaky-clean government.

Patrick even started things off with me. Guess it paid off to get that submission in early :-)
