“a conservative is expected this time around”
You might want to be more specific than that. I don’t doubt that Miers is conservative, but so is G.W. “Never say veto” Bush, and so am I for that matter. What we know and feel about the Constitution, otoh, would be hard to prove.
Read on down the blog for my doubts as to Miers’ “conservatism” (even though that’s now water under the bridge).
Sean has a good idea for who I’d like – Diane Sykes. Also on my short list, Edith Jones, Janice Rogers Brown, Priscilla Owen, Michael Luttwig (just to name a few well-known quantities).
